For the 1st time in 17 weeks a song has managed to hold on to the top spot for a 2nd week that honour belongs to Ella Henderson with her debut single ‘Ghost’.

There are 5 new entries with the highest entering at Number 2.

Back with their 2nd hit and following on from the March Number 1 ‘She Looks So Perfect’, 5 Seconds of Summer are a new entry at Number 2 with ‘Don’t Stop’.

It‘s always welcome to see new talent and music of different genres on the chart and the new entry at Number 4 gives us both. George Ezra is 21 years old and comes from Hertford, his music is described as Folk, Blues and Rock. He cites his major influences as Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie, the single is called ‘Budapest’ and his debut Album due on June 30th is called ‘Wanted on Voyage’.

The other top 10 new entry is at Number 7 for North London electronic duo Gorgon City with ‘Here for You’.  They had a Number 4 hit earlier on this year with ‘Ready for Your Love’.

American singer Demi Lovato charts for the 5th time in the UK with ‘Neon Lights’, her most successful single to date was ‘Heart Attack’ which peaked at Number 3 last year.

Finally The Kooks released their 4th Album ‘Listen’ last month and the 2nd single release from it called ‘Around Town’ is new in at Number 35.

As always enjoy the music.
