A big week for new entries this week with seven new songs making their debut.

Meghan Trainor holds on to the Number 1 spot with ‘All About That Bass’ becoming only the 2^nd song this year to complete 3 consecutive weeks at the top.

Taylor Swift climbs to Number 2 with ‘Shake It Off’, this is her 3^rd Number 2 single and she still awaits her 1^st  ever chart topper.

There is a good old fashioned slow chart climber at Number 4 as Ed Sheeran with ‘Thinking Out Loud’ now in its 17^th week reaches its highest placing yet.

The ex Number 1 ‘Bang Bang’ from Jesse J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj slips two places to Number five, sandwiched in between these is this week’s highest new entry from One Direction with ‘Steal My Girl ‘at Number 3, this is their 13^th top 40 single and is taken from their forth coming 4^th Album to be called ‘Fou’r.

There are 2 other new entries into the top 10. New at Number 9 are The Vamps with ‘Oh Cecilia’. the song gives them a 5^th hit off their debut Album ‘Meet The Vamps’, but this is a re-worked version of the LP cut, it also features Canadian born Shawn Mendes making his UK chart debut, the song  is a cover version of the Simon and  Garfunkle classic but does have several original lyrics added.

The other new song into the top 10 is at 10 for the latest offering from Eminem with his 32^nd UK hit called ‘Guts Over Fea’r, the track features vocals from Sia who now charts for a 5^th time as a featured artist, her current single as main artist ‘Chandelie’r is at Number 36 in its 16^th week on the top 40.

Dance music makes an appearance at Number 15 in the shape of French music artist and producer Watermatt with his debut release called ‘Bullit’, the track has already found success in Belgium where it has peaked at Number 2.

More dance music charting at Number 20 but this time in the form of drum and bass as Mark Wilkinson charts for the 4^th time, this latest hit is called ‘Dirty Love’ and features vocals from Talay Riley, he also charted last week as featured artist on the Luvbug track ‘Resonance’.

The 6^th new entry is at Number 27 for Krishane ft  Beenie Man and Melissa steel with ‘Drunk and Incapable’. Krishane is the son of reggae legend Barrington Levy and this is his chart debut .Beenie Man is a Dancehall Reggae artist and is making his 7^th appearance on the chart. Melissa Steel who is from Bradford charted earlier on this year as featured artist on the Kove hit ‘Way We Are’, she also peaked at Number 10 with ‘Kisses For Breakfas’t .

The final new song to chart this week is at Number 35 for Charli XCX with ‘Break The Rules’, it is the follow up to ‘Boom Clap’ which recently peaked at Number 6. Her new album which is to be called ‘Sucker’ is being held over until next year.
