Mac Davis is an American Country music singer and songwriter who also provided Presley with his 2002 posthumous UK Number 1 single ‘A Little Less Conversation.’
Other Davis songs worth checking out include ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll(I Gave You The Best Years Of My Life’) and his 1980 UK ‘novelty’ hit ‘It’s Hard To Be Humble.’
In The Ghetto tells a story of poverty, describing a child who can’t overcome his surroundings and turns to crime, which leads to his death and as he is dying another child is being born in the ghetto.
‘As her young man dies,on a cold and grey Chicago mornin’ another little baby child is born in the ghetto.’
