Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones was born on September 14th, 1973, in New York City, United States. He has also released a total of 35 singles as the main artist, a further 14 in collaboration, and another 35 as the featured artist. He has sold in excess of 25 million records worldwide, and in many compiled lists of the best ever Rappers, and lyricists, he continuously appears in the all time top 10.’One Mic’ was the third single released from Nas’ fifth studio Album ‘Stillmatic’ from 2001, and was co-written, and co-produced by Nas, and Chucky Thompson.
