1993-It did not chart when the original version was initially released.The ‘Three ‘N One’ remix reached Number 51 in 1997,in 1998 the ‘Nalin & Kane’ remix peaked at Number 12 and in 2002 the ‘Marco V’ mix reached Number 24.
Best Bit-At 2.09.This track is probably the most remixed song in the world ever.I have made a point of listening to many different mixes of the song,but I always come back to the original version.
Energy 52 was a short lived music project comprising Paul Schmitz-Moormann and Harald Bluchel. Moormann has also released music using the name ‘Kid Paul,’while Bluchel is also known as ‘Cosmic Baby,’they are both very important names in the development of ‘Trance Music.’
Fittingly for what many people consider to be the best Trance song ever made,it is named after the famous bar located in Ibiza,Islas,Baleares,Spain,the Cafe del Mar.
The venue the Cafe del Mar was founded in 1980 and has become a very famous landmark on the island of Ibiza with holidaymakers.In 1999 it started it’s own record label known as ‘Cafe del Mar Music,releasing Balearic,Ambient and Easy listening music of the type that is played at the venue.
