By 1965 McCartney and Lennon were predominantly writing their own songs, although they continued to credit all The Beatles output to Lennon/McCartney(see also best songs 599.)
This song was Paul’s,who claimed that one morning he tumbled out of bed and this tune was in his head, the working title was ‘Scrambled Eggs’ until he wrote the lyrics months later.
Paul McCartney always had a problem with the writing credits on The Beatles songs as they stated Lennon/McCartney,he felt his name should appear first, especially on the songs that he wrote.
