Les Brown(March 1912-January 2001) was an American Jazz musician who led his band for nearly seven decades from 1938-2000.
This song gave Doris Day her first Billboard Number 1 single in 1944 and its popularity grew even further when it became the unofficial homecoming theme for many veterans at the end of World War 2.
At her age of 97 Doris Day is currently the second oldest living person to have had a UK Number 1 song(Secret Love,1954.)
