Edmond Grant was born on 5th March 1948 in Plaisance,British Guiana.It was after seeing a Chuck Berry concert that he decided to pursue a music career.
In 1965 he formed The R&B group The Equals and in 1968 the self penned song ‘Baby Come Back’ gave him his first UK Number 1 single.
In 1971 Grant suffered a heart attack and collapsed lung leading to his departure from the Equals to concentrate on production.His breakthrough as a solo artist came with the release of his third Album in 1978 called ‘Walking On Sunshine,’from where this song originally came.
Grant arranged,produced,composed and played several instruments on all of the Albums tracks.
