The lead singer Shirley Goodman who died in 2005 had back in the 1950s achieved two Billboard top 40 singles as part of the duo ‘Shirley and Lee.’The song’s other vocalist was Jesus Alvarez who in 1982 became a ordained minister and now records Christian worship music.
