B.T.Express,originally named Brooklyn Transit Express were active from 1974-1987.Among the group members were Michael Jones who went on to work with artists such as Whitney Houston and George Benson.The bands main songwriter was Billy Nichols who in the 1960s played for Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and Marvin Gaye at Motown Records.’Express’ was taken from their debut Album ‘Do It (Til You’re Satisfied,’) ‘Express’ and the title track both achieved a top five placing on the Billboard singles chart in 1974.
