The song is loosely based on a childhood experience that Wheatus frontman Brendan B Brown had.In the summer of 1984 on Long Island In the woods behind his house a drug related murder occurred and the teenager who committed the crime was wearing an ACDC t-shirt and because Brown was into Rock bands at the time he felt that his parents and teachers were misjudging him.
